It seems to me that additional certification requirements added through the past years should have addressed the issues of teacher preparedness addressed in the op-ed "Zero tolerance for unprepared teachers" (June 25). The increase in unsuccessful teachers who struggle and then leave the profession just might have something to do with the attitudes of the clients, their parents and the endless array of brand new "best practices" which are continually invented by those who do not have to implement them.
