County shows lack of respect to teachers [Letter]

Your article about cuts to Baltimore County school's technology teaching staff is but another example of the lack of respect for classroom teachers in the county schools ("Technology teacher positions being eliminated in Baltimore County," Jan. 10).

For years, the county schools were respected across the nation for teacher involvement in decisions regarding all aspects of educating children, the most outstanding example being curriculum development. When teachers were called together to consider changes, it was always as full participants in decisions, never to be subject to directives from those on high who believe they have all the answers.
