I couldn't believe the look on Molly Shattuck's face as she left the courtroom after being sentenced for rape ("Molly Shattuck sentenced to 48 weekends in community corrections center in Del. rape case," Aug. 21).
Who else but a privileged white female could leave a sentence hearing smiling? Where is the hue and cry on the level of the uproar over Ray Rice's slap on the wrist?
Or maybe this is different because the victim is a male? The double standard is glaring.
