While I would have preferred that Dan Rodricks would have let Gov. William Donald Schaefer rest in peace instead of using him in his column on the New Jersey bridge scandal, I now have a bit of advice for him ("Despite competition from Maryland, Christie's Bridgegate takes the pettiness prize," Jan. 11).
In my eulogy for Governor Schaefer, I pictured him walking the golden streets with St. Peter checking for pot holes. When he saw some folks there he asked, "Why are they here? This is not where I told them to go."
So I suggest that when Dan makes his way to the Pearly Gates, he sneak in and make sure that the governor is not there.
