Is Sagamore project worth a half-billion in tax dollars? That's the bottom line.

The case for Baltimore City financial support of the proposed Port Covington development ("Why support Sagamore?" March 16) was a fine history lesson, but it would have been more useful if the amount of investment in infrastructure had been identified and the projected payback through future city taxes estimated.

That's just basic information for buyers of this new product that Sagamore proposes to sell us in addition to rye whiskey.
