There is a key line in your recent article, "State plans to sell former Rosewood hospital to Stevenson University” (June 5) in which Sen. Bobby Zirkin, a Democrat, praised Republican Governor Larry Hogan for working to secure the deal.
Aside from the fact that growing Stevenson University will take over the blighted property, dramatically improve the region, and secure its future for decades, is the knowledge that bipartisan political cooperation lives. This is how it's supposed to work.
This deal will remove the toxicity from acres of contaminated land in Owings Mills; let Mr. Zirkin praising Mr. Hogan also stand as a model for doing the same thing for our current national political climate.
