As long as senators are resigning...

Sen. Al Franken resigns from his seat in Congress after allegations that he abused his authority to take advantage of several women. The complaints were of inappropriate touching and kissing of females, which he apologized for and which in some cases he denies. In Maryland, we have Sen. Nathaniel Oaks, who has been investigated for years for putting his office up for sale to the highest bidder, and remains in office regardless of all the evidence (“Newly unsealed documents detail FBI investigation of state Sen. Nathaniel Oaks,” Dec. 7).

What does it take for the Democratic leadership to rid their ranks of such an individual? He is not going to leave his office on his own, but he must be driven out so that we in Maryland can hold our heads high.
