I want to give thanks to three leaders in Baltimore.
To Ralph Moore for his tireless service to the poor and his proposal to rename the first new Catholic school in Baltimore City in decades: Mother Mary Lange School (“How about Mother Lange School?” Aug. 16).
To The Baltimore Sun for its continued vigilance of Catholic Church issues and for the wonderfully democratic forum of "Letters to the Editor" to spark civic progress.
To Archbishop William E. Lori for his prompt decision to rename the school, saying "It's such an obvious good choice" (“Baltimore’s new Catholic school to be named after Mother Lange,” Sept. 4).
May we pray we work through these tough issues by continuing to shine light on seemingly complex issues and urgently embrace "obvious good choices.”
