Letter writer Roger Kostmayer says of calls for Mitt Romney to release his tax returns that "the minimum requirement," for candidates for high office "is to be completely open about their careers, their policies and their financial interests."
Shouldn't the same be said about Barack Obama? The one hid his birth certificate and who won't release college records?
I would bet if President Obama released all his information Mr. Romney would do the same.

This whole argument is bankrupt. It is not even a quid pro quo. Its a ruse - and a poor one at that because it assumes there are voters who view them as equivalent. The only people who think this way are Mitten's people. They do it cause they have to think of something to Mittigate the damage so to speak of Mittens not wanting to release his tax returns. We all know that it is full of tax deductions and IRA contributions that are borderline criminal if not over the wire. And also that it shows how he has spent his entire adult American life, taking advantage of America and not paying his fair share of taxes. Or perhaps even any taxes at all..
1. President's generally don't release school records. Niether has Romney.
2. It does not cost money to keep record private.
3. Most presidential canidates release tax info.

It should be noted that
1. Romney says he released 2, but he actually only released 2010 (partial) and an estimate of 2011.
It should also be noted that Senators have to release disclosures every year they serve so McCain's relase of 2 was not as big a deal, even those these disclosures do not show charitble donations or use of tax shelters.
Is Romney hiding something? Probably, but thats his right, even if it costs him the election.By way of personal disclosure I cannot imagine anything in Romney's return would get me to vote for him. So maybe he has a point. This could be an issue that can only hurt him.
This country will be in the corruption tradition.
Even we have the presidential candidate that cannot release tax return.
It is really bad. This is United State of America....Unbelievable.
