Too many people, too few resources [Letter]

The population of Earth has exceeded 7 billion, and the impacts to this planet are profound. Famine, poverty, depletion of resources, destruction of natural systems, increased pollution, war, overcrowding, disease, and a general reduction in the quality of life for billions will be the norm.

It is time for all religions, policymakers and governments to seek a reduction in human births through support of birth control availability. The alternative will be a foreboding future for our human descendants and a dying natural world.
