On health care, Lt. Gov. Brown fell down on the job [Letter]

Is anyone surprised that Lt. Gov Anthony Brown has not successfully shepherded the rollout of Maryland's version of Obamacare ("Critics hammer O'Malley, Brown on web site," Dec. 8)?

Almost every politician has only one job after being elected, and that is to get re-elected. They spend their time at photo ops, shaking hands at appearances and raising money to further their career.

What they should be doing is checking on the work of the government. Did Mr. Brown attend even a single working meeting with the contractors? No. He only relied on emails from others. He needs to do his job.
