The most unfortunate aspect of the disastrous Affordable Care Act rollout is the black eye it's given to big government ("White House to revive Obamacare PR push," Dec. 3). It will be more fashionable than ever among politicians of all stripes to decry government solutions to our problems and romanticize private sector panaceas.
I don't see some magical convergence of private sector forces coming together to fix our roads and bridges or to keep you and me from having to foot the emergency room bills of the uninsured or to find cures to AIDS or cancer or to make sure that inner city kids have a shot at a decent education. Amazon and Google can't be bothered.
