One year later, time to toss Obama health care

The country recently marked a sad anniversary. It has been one year since Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid ramrodded President Obama's health care reform legislation through the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate against the will and wishes of the American people.

Here are just some of the reasons why Obamacare must be repealed and declared as unconstitutional. First, government-run health care would mean federal bureaucrats making health care decisions instead of patients and their doctors. A government takeover of one-sixth of our economy can only mean higher costs, bigger deficits, and more government waste.

Government-run health care will stifle medical innovation, limit health care choices, and raise insurance costs. Further U.S. District Court Judge Henry E. Hudson has already ruled last December in Virginia that the individual mandate central to Obamacare requiring citizens to purchase health insurance is unconstitutional.

This is about liberty for a citizen to choose and not be forced by the Obama administration to buy into this government plan. The bottom line is this: Repeal and throw out Obamacare. If the Senate's Democratic majority rejects this then the House should defund this reckless effort and let it be judged by the U.S. Supreme Court.
