I disagree strongly with those who say President Obama has done nothing ("Choice is clear: Obama has to go," Sept. 7).
The president approved the raid that led to the death of Osama bin Laden, withdrew our troops from Iraq, and reversed the so-called "global gag rule," which prohibited federal funds from going to organizations that even mentioned abortion.
In addition, he signed into law the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act (which Mitt Romney does not support), the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act (which amends federal hate crime legislation to include crimes motivated by a victim's sexual orientation), and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (which, among other things, prohibits insurance companies from denying coverage to people with pre-existing conditions).
Add to that the fact that more private-sector jobs were created in 2010 than during the entire eight years of the George W. Bush administration.
You call that absolutely nothing? I don't think so.
