Mizeur is the honest candidate [Letter]

ElectionsHeather R. Mizeur

Regarding the recent letter from a reader who praises gubernatorial candidate Del. Heather Mizeur ("Md. Democrats should give Mizeur a second look," June 6), I concur, and I am a Republican.

Delegate Mizeur makes a lot of sense and avoids speaking in generalities. She has a plan. I can detect a sense of honesty in her responses, and that's not true with the other two Democratic candidates.

It's hard to tell what any person can do if elected, but If I happened to be a Democrat, my vote would currently be for Ms. Mizeur. She may still have my vote in the general election. Maryland does not need any more phony politicians. We need a leader for all of the people.

Brown has lost this Democrat's vote

I woke up on the first day of early voting in Maryland to a depressingly familiar front page headline in The Sun — "Race for governor resorts to untruths" (Oct. 23). With it came the usual mix of disgust, anger and frustration that I have felt every day of this gubernatorial...
