Raising the minimum wage is bad for seniors [Letter]

In all the arguments for increasing the wages of burger flippers and other unskilled workers, I have seen no studies of the change's effect on seniors. Will they still go to burger joints and buy $4 cups of coffee? Will they spend $25 to see a movie?

Those jobs were never meant to support a family and are mostly filled by people who threw spit balls in school rather than paid attention in class. To reward bad behavior only encourages more bad behavior at the expense of all taxpayers — including seniors on pensions or Social Security.
