A less costly way to send child migrants home [Letter]

We have a Navy with many ships and crews. Why can't we put those vessels in the Gulf of Mexico, next to Texas, and bus the unaccompanied minors illegally crossing our border to ships that will give them food, shelter and a lift them back to their home countries ("Obama requests $3.7 billion to address influx of immigrant children," July 8)?

That would certainly be a lot quicker and less costly than the billions of new dollars Congress would have to appropriate. Just an idea.
