Your editorial about the performance of Maryland's health insurance website was interesting ("Beyond the website," April 2). To say the launch will go down as one of the most expensive failures of governance in the state's history is being kind. Please name any other state failure that even comes close to this disaster in terms of taxpayer money.
I suggest that this is by far the biggest failure ever — and that this failure of leadership at the highest echelons of our state government is being rewarded. They should either resign, be impeached or recalled by the voters of Maryland. Not only did their system fail but the management failure itself was total.
Why should they get a second chance to throw away and waste millions and millions more taxpayer dollars? They have no shame.
