In response to your report on Mah-jongg, I would like to add a dimension not addressed in the article ("Mah-jongg exhibit runs at Jewish Museum," April 4).
Five friends and I played Mah-jongg every Monday night for more than 30 years no matter what the weather. We are now octogenarians, and several are no longer with us.
The game provided a vehicle for developing close relationships, shared life experiences and loving support in good times and bad. I continue to remember those treasured times with friends. I barley remember the hands we played, but I cannot forget what we six friends meant to each other.
