Sun is too quick to flatter the lottery-winning teachers

Sorry folks, but you are quite wrong to say the "lottery winners' decision goes to show teachers aren't in it for the money" ("Maryland's richest educators," April 11) I'm quite sure there are many teachers who truly aren't in it for the money, but not the three lottery winners. If they aren't in it for the money, then they will resign their positions to make room for others who could use a job. Then they will volunteer as tutors, mentors or some other unpaid position in the public school system, just as many retirees do in our communities.
