No license for illegals

The liberals in the Maryland General Assembly are at it again wanting now to give driver's licenses to undocumented and illegal immigrants.

This is the wrong way to go, and illegal immigrants do not deserve or should not be given drivers licenses in Maryland.

At a time when Maryland is furloughing and laying off state and local employees and cutting service and raising taxes, we should not spend another nickel for illegal immigrants to let them drive on our highways and roads.

This foolish act will encourage only more illegal immigrants to invade this state.

The bottom line here is this: No drivers licenses for illegal immigrants who have broken the law when they entered this country illegally.

John Fritze and Luke Broadwater's article "Baltimore weighs in on immigration lawsuit" ("Jan. 24) does an excellent job of identifying some of the potential economic pros and cons of undocumented immigrants living in our communities.
