A balance of biases

Newspaper and MagazineThe Washington PostThe New York TimesThe Wall Street Journal

While letter writer Marie Mullen may be warranted in the conclusion that The Sun favors the Democratic Party and a liberal view in its editorials and columnists, certainly the paper is not unique in this respect ("More balance in The Sun, please!" Aug. 10).

An overwhelming number of newspapers, including the influential New York Times and Washington Post, are even more weighted in their editorials and columns favoring liberal causes. Only The Wall Street Journal, among national newspapers, presents the conservative view primarily.

Unfortunately the anti-conservative bias is not restricted to newspapers but includes most of the media, such as TV and magazines. My only suggestion to the writer is to live with it but object as she has.
