What is all this talk about people wanting to leave Maryland ("Maryland's unhappy residents," May 9)?
I am a fourth-generation Marylander. I love this state. We have mountains and the beach, great little towns and a wonderful little city called Baltimore. We also have some of the best seafood in the world.
I left Maryland twice in my life: Once to join my husband in my Belgium when he was in the service and the other for a job transfer to Connecticut. I could never wait to get home to Maryland. If you think the taxes are high here, try living in Connecticut!
Yes we have our problems, as all states do. But I think it is one of the best places to live in America, and if you disagree, it's very simple: Just move.
