The costs of illegal immigration [Letter]

Illegal ImmigrantsImmigration

Of course letter writer Cynthia Rosenberg's American Immigration Lawyers Association wants more undocumented immigrants to enter the U.S. because it means more business for her and the lawyers she represents ("Immigrants benefit Maryland's economy," Jan. 13).

It is about money and not our laws. To listen to Ms. Rosenberg, undocumented immigrants are angels falling from heaven and landing in America. She left out the part about the overcrowded emergency rooms filled by immigrants who gladly stick the American taxpayer with the bill.

She forgot to mention the cost incurred to house, feed and treat undocumented immigrants in our already overcrowded prison system. I wonder if she has heard of MS-13, Latin Kings and the multitude of other gangs that these immigrants bring with them?

Ms. Rosenberg, all is not roses where illegals are concerned.
