Your recent report on shootings in Baltimore highlighted the tragic violence afflicting our city ("Deadly summer," June 30).
From the leadership shown by Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, however, it is obvious our leaders are not in crisis mode working to combat this frightening turn of events.
When The Sun tracked down the mayor at a convention in Las Vegas, she provided a less than accurate comparison of our city's violence to that of other major cities.
I hope her trip was were restful, because now is the time to get into crisis mode. Get to work: It's time to lead.
