'Swift-boating' the GOP [Letter]

In asserting that the GOP "swift-boated" John Kerry in 2004 and Hilary Clinton in 2014, as if these two candidates deserved praise rather than condemnation, The Sun is either employing selective memory or it's trying to "swift-boat" it's readers once again ("Anatomy of a smear," May 14).

Your editorial was careful to note that this is not a strategy unique to the GOP. But you deliberately fail to mention the abhorrent "swift-boating" of George W. Bush and Mitt Romney. I'm sure that was just an oversight!

I sincerely hope that the few people who read that editorial have finally awakened to your newspaper's partisan-induced sleep and call for The Sun's impeachment. No paper deserves it more.
