Confusion, frustration over Obamacare application [Letter]

Through the end of the year my wife has an excellent health insurance policy for low income families.

But due to the way we replied to health questions when applying at healthcare.gov, her application was connected to Medicaid, which I know she does not qualify for in Pennsylvania.

We have called the Gov Help hotline multiple times and even contacted a local "application assister," but to no avail.

So the end result is that we are qualified by income for a generous premium subsidy but do not see the tax credit reflected in premium prices when browsing the health care plans.

I wish I could send President Barack Obama a bill for the time I have wasted on this poorly managed project. I estimate 10 hours so far (after the couple hours everyone projected this process would take), and my rates are $100 an hour.

I'll send the same to my governor for failing to extend Medicaid, which is probably the underlying glitch stopping us from buying "affordable" (meaning, for us, subsidized) health insurance.
