It is laughable to hear Gov. Martin O'Malley say that "our launch failed" when discussing the state's troubled health care exchange ("Md. votes to adopt health exchange software used in Connecticut," April 2).
What failed is Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown, who failed to sufficiently test Maryland's health exchange before it was rolled out to the public.
Now Mr. O'Malley wants to ask the federal government for more money to clean up his mess with a company that donated more than $500,000 to the Democratic Governors Association that Mr. O'Malley chaired.
No, governor, the failure lies with you and your failure to manage by putting more emphasis on your presidential run than on the taxpayers of Maryland.
J. Michael Collins, Reisterstown
