Before recording their votes in the upcoming Maryland primary elections, readers should study the records of the candidates for attorney general very carefully. I believe such scrutiny will lead to the inevitable conclusion that Sen. Brian Frosh is by far the best candidate for this important position ("Frosh for attorney general," June 8).

By virtue of his almost 30 years of experience as one of the most respected, effective members of the legislature with a long list of accomplishments, Senator Frosh can be trusted to continue Maryland's tradition of outstanding attorneys general.

Mr. Frosh has played a lead role in the enactment of so many measures of benefit to Maryland's consumers, environment and public it is not possible to list them all here. He has been honored as "Legislator of the Year" by the Maryland Public Health Association, Marylanders to Prevent Gun Violence, Maryland Access to Justice Commission, Maryland State Fraternal Order of Police, Maryland Consumer Rights Coalition and many, many others. He has been given the "Chairman's Award" by the Hebrew Home of Greater Washington, the "Spirit of Human Achievement Award" by the National Center for Children and Families, the "Leadership and Outstanding Service Award" by the Maryland State Bar Association to name just a few of the recognitions and honors he has received.

To sum up, it would be a scandal if Marylanders do not choose Brian Frosh as their next attorney general. You can be sure he will do the job with intelligence, deep knowledge, unblemished ethics and mature judgment. Do your due diligence and see for yourself.
