In his recent commentary ("An unnatural selection," Nov. 15), Tony Solesky states that shelter volunteers "could not possibly be expected to make an objective, rational or reasonable assessment of a dog's suitability as a pet…"
Given the history and biases of someone who advocates for dog mauling victims, it is hard to believe that Mr. Solesky thinks he can.
