President Obama finally showed America, especially his base, his inability to grasp America's complex economic machine.
When elected, everyone knew he lacked leadership experience, but we hoped he would learn quickly and hire seasoned advisors who understood America's middle-class dilemma — rising prices, declining wages and disappearing jobs.
Well, we gave him four years to learn and the proof is in the pudding: Mr. Obama's economic policy is a disaster.
It is bad enough that as president, Mr. Obama was unable to articulate a cogent economic recovery plan, let alone execute a successful economic stimulus policy that produced jobs and rising incomes.
He appointed advisors who were experts in socialism but clueless in capitalism. They threw good money after bad, bailed out incompetent financial management teams and ballooned the federal deficit.
Instead of giving a hand-up to the 47 percent of the public who pay no taxes, Mr. Obama's solution was to increase government handouts.
President Obama expects to break Mr. Romney's momentum in the upcoming foreign policy debate, but I wouldn't bet on it. Mr. Obama has been a disaster on foreign policy as well; he has done nothing but apologize for America's success and has not followed through on his promise to shut the down the Guantanamo Bay detention facility.
Even Mr. Obama's base is getting antsy about where their lives are going, so don't be surprised if they start jumping aboard the Romney express.
