Sen. Ulysses Currie may have dodged a criminal conviction, but Senate President Mike Miller needs to have him removed from office ("Currie not guilty," Nov. 9).
Elected officials are given the rules governing campaign finance when the first apply to run for office. They all know they and they alone are responsible to file their own disclosure forms. They are also told about ethics dos and don'ts.
For Mr. Currie to accept a job from an employer and then push favorable legislation or favors while a state senator is so wrong a person doesn't even need to be sitting on the jury to know it.
Senator Currie has got to go, especially if he is so inept, as his witnesses testified.
