U.S. car subsidies are good but China's are bad?

Barack ObamaChina

President Barack Obama has announced that the U.S. is filing an official trade complaint against China for unfairly subsidizing its car industry. The claim is that by subsidizing the Chinese car industry, China is giving its local car industry an unfair advantage, and not allowing true free-market forces to work.

In 2009, when the American car industry was facing bankruptcy, President Obama and the U.S. government stepped in and gave billions of dollars to our own car industry to prop them up and help them avoid bankruptcy.

I guess that it is time for the U. S. to explain to the Chinese how the free-market economy should really work.
