Does anyone find it worrisome that in 2013 the U.S. government could not prevent 60,000 unaccompanied children from illegally entering the U.S. by crossing our southern border?
If it's that easy for unaccompanied children to illegally cross into the U.S., I can only imagine what the adults are doing. Our government either cannot or will not control our border with Mexico ("Suffer the little children," June 11).
In addition, Sen. Barbara Mikulski wants to shelter some of these refugees at facilities here in Maryland. I wonder how the school systems in Harford and Montgomery counties will feel about this sudden influx of new students.
