On Thursday night a violent storm struck a small area along Sparks Road in northern Baltimore County. The strong winds and heavy rain brought down many trees, and most homes along Sparks Road lost power. On the 1700 block of Sparks Road a large tree fell on a car, trapping the driver, who miraculously escaped serious injury. The power to our home was lost, and the power lines were down on the road and up our lane. BGE was here in less than half an hour, and with a crew of about five trucks and workers they had the power restored in less than four hours. This deserves a shout-out to BGE for a job well done.
