BGE makes it hard to get a smart meter installed [Letter]

I was really surprised when I called BGE to set up a schedule for installing a smart meter("How hard is BGE trying to contact customers about smart meters?" Aug. 15).

I was told there was no time after 4 p.m. during the work week, meaning you have to take off a two-hour window from work. And when they did come, they were 45 minutes late. I didn't want to spend my Saturday waiting on BGE.

BGE needs to have at least one or two days during the week after 4 p.m., and it needs an 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. shift on weekends because it on took 30 minutes once the meter installer arrived.
