Like many residents, the power in my Catonsville home went out at 7:30 Wednesday night ("Severe thunderstorm watch issued Wednesday," July 9).
I reported the outage many times on BGE's automated power outage line, but there was no option to even talk with someone there to get an estimate of when power will be restored.
When I got to work the next morning I looked at the power outage map and my area wasn't even included. I tried calling the main BGE number again and still couldn't talk to anyone.
And the company wants to raise our rates? This is outrageous.
Dotti Fielder, Catonsville
