City agencies should be audited every year

As a taxpayer who has to report yearly to the federal and state government how much I made and how I spent it, I find it hard to believe an agency that spends our tax dollars can dodge audits for years with no accountability and the leadership not get fired ("City parks agency turns over books for auditing after 3 years," Jan. 10).

No wonder there is so much corruption. There should be full disclosure every year so taxpayers know how government agencies are spending our money. In the private sector you would be fired if you did not keep up to date records of money spent.

Why not put the Red Line on a statewide ballot? As the funding would come from both state and federal governments, let the taxpayers of Maryland decide the fate of the Red Line ("Md. formally tells US it isn't seeking $900M for Red Line," Aug. 18).

I had to laugh when I read the angry letter claiming that Donald Trump is more like Ronald Reagan than Adolf Hitler ("Trump is Reagan, not Hitler," Aug. 28). Dirt bikers aren't the only danger on two wheels

The dirt bikers aren't Baltimore's only problem ("A '12 O'Clock Boys' theme park for Baltimore," Aug. 27). There are dangers from some other motorcyclists who display their "skills" on the Jones Falls Expressway, generally late at night or at 2 in the morning. Some of these cyclists must picture...

Field hockey's history in Arundel goes back even farther

While I have the greatest respect and admiration for Lil Shelton and her accomplishments at Severna Park High School ("Girls' sports power reflects long-term national trend," Aug. 25), I feel the need to set the record straight.
