An unusual weapon

banter has her facts wrong.Switzerland has no such requirement.  And has the huge increase in the number of gun owners in recent years lowered crime in this country?

banter no doubt believes that unrestricted ownership of anti-tank weapons or missiles is a good idea... should we really be listening to people with minds like hers?

I've dealt with bad guys all my adult life. Most of them even crazier than Ms Banter I've never needed more than 8 shots.

Some facts that can be verified by Wikipedia "violent crimes by country" and the various despotic regimes mentioned.

Fact 1 Switzerland has the lowest murder and violent crime rates in the world.  Every home is required to have a full auto and at least 50 rounds of ammunition.  Every person is required to join Canton militia for a duration of 2 years.

Fact 2 Mexico has the highest murder and violent crime rates in the world.  All citizens are barred from firearm ownership.  The only ones who have them are the cartels, who get theirs from corrupt and careless government facilities, and the corrupt government. Citizens are helpless.

Fact 3 Every despotic regime bent on domination, from Turkey with the Armenians, Germany with Jews, China and USSR with dissidents, Cambodia with non-agrarians, etc... starts with the banning of private ownership of firearms and other weapons for the "general safety" of society.  They are not stupid, they do not want to have the risk of being overthrown. 
DO NOT think that it can't happen in the USA.  Ask the American Indians what happens when a group such as the US Army comes in, requires you give up your arms for your own safety.  The reservations of yesterday are not much different than the concentration camps of today.
