Columbia lakefront house sells in days

Waterfront homes, particularly those competitively priced and in excellent condition, rarely stay long on the market. Such was the case with 10737 Catterskill Court, located on the banks of Columbia's Wilde Lake. The transitional-style rancher sold for its asking price of $675,000 only five days after it was listed.

"There were multiple offers on this home," said listing agent Bob Lucido, of RE/MAX Advantage Realty. "We did an open house, and it sold on the same day."

Located on a cul-de-sac in the Bryant Woods neighborhood of Columbia, the home's open floor plan offers views of the lake and foliage from every window. Dining, living and kitchen areas all combine in one impressive great room under a cathedral ceiling. Large decks, looking out on mature trees and a verdant, landscaped lawn, are found off the kitchen area and master bedroom suite.

"The [former] owners updated the home to match the picturesque and serene view of the area," Lucido continued. "There is an easy-living feel inside, but it is all tastefully done."

Hardwood floors are throughout the entire first level where windows and sliders are constructed with energy-efficient low-emissivity glass. The eat-in kitchen includes a quartz-topped island with a Jenn-Air cooktop and island oven.

The master suite boasts a vaulted ceiling with skylights and a Jacuzzi with separate shower.

An above-ground lower level opens onto a patio and backyard right at the water's edge. A finished family room, two additional bedrooms and an infrared sauna are also on the lower level.

"You can walk in this house and instantly relax," Lucido said.
