U.S. can't pay for world's kids [Letter]

We have enough children here in our own country that out tax dollars can not take care of and I see kids that are born and raised in this country and they can't get help so why take care of everyone else kids in the world ("Death by deportation," Aug. 24)?

I feel for these kids but we can't take care of our own. Our kids are getting killed every day in the streets and gangs are running wild. Come on, people, stop trying to be super heroes with my tax dollars while our kids pay the price. God helps them who help themselves.

    Obama faces reality

Perhaps six years too late, President Barack Obama gave strong indications in his State of the Union address last week that he's finally bought into Albert Einstein's definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
