I am having a problem following the logic of gun toters explaining why they should bear arms.
Here's what I see when I read the Second Amendment: "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."
What is meant by "a well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state?" It seems to me that all of you folks should belong to a state-regulated militia and attend militia meetings every Saturday. Otherwise, how are we going to contact you if there is tyranny in the state?
