The Sun is welcoming back an old friend to its opinion pages: cartoonist Kevin “KAL” Kallaugher. He’ll bring his sharp wit and inimitable style to a weekly take on the news in Maryland and beyond. Next Sunday, he’ll begin with a KAL’s-eye view of the State House. In the meantime, enjoy an archive of some of his previous work for The Sun and a video in which the artist describes his exploits of the last six years as a globe-trotting cartoonist.

Wonderful- I find cartoonists- like stand up comedians- are allowed to get away with a great deal- and that is refreshing-
the Sun- in an effort to be fair and balanced will invite a conservative columnist like Mossburg or Ehrlich to have a pulpit when there is only one liberal- Rodricks- and no progressives. Hardly feels balanced. In a way the paper does NOT reflect the city it's in.
I wonder how KAL will fit into a right of center paper- bot and sold by sam zell- chicago porn star.
Hopelfully he has sharpened at the Economist- still..who are the fattest balloons saying the absurdist things in the house- luckly- this state is not rule by them- KAL don't go the false "fair and balanced route"- give us something truthful. like global warming- militarty spending and wars- who are the 1% in md. and how corrupt are they? - these are the obvious targets for cartooning.
