Mary P. Broman-Dellinger, 88, of Petoskey, died June 23, 2012, at Hiland Cottage in Petoskey.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday June 26, at Stone Funeral Home, Petoskey. Pastor Rusty Chatfield will officiate and burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mary was born May 7, 1924, in Grant County, Ind., the daughter of Thomas and Hazel Brooke.
She grew up in Amboy, Ind., and attended school at Amboy High School. She received her B.A. degree from Indiana University in Marion, Ind., and her M.A. degree from Ball State University in Muncie, Ind.
In 1972 she married Cecil E. Broman and he preceded her in death in 1988. She then married Dilver A. Dellinger and he preceded her in death in 2006.
Mary taught English at Madison Grant Schools in Fairmount, Ind.
She retired in 1976 and moved to Petoskey. While in Petoskey, she worked at Top O Michigan for 10 years, retiring in 1986.
Mary loved her crossword puzzles, reading and keeping up with politics.
She was a member of First Christian Church in Petoskey.
Mary is survived by daughters, Colleen (John) Slifka of Petoskey, Maria (Ron) Furgeson of Petoskey; son, Ed (Linda) Broman, of Defiance, Ohio, and Petoskey; stepchildren, Richard Dellinger of Indiana, Dora Boris of Michigan, Janet Milakis of Indiana; sister-in-law, Delora Brooke of New Boston, Texas; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Mary will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at Stone Funeral Home.
