She attended Julie Billiart Country Day School in Ellicott City and St. Mark's School in Catonsville, and graduated in 1961 from Trinity Preparatory School in Ellicott City. In her youth, she enjoyed skiing, bowling and tennis.
In 1966, she married Thomas J. Doud Jr., an attorney. The couple settled in Catonsville, where they raised their three children.
In 1980, Mrs. Doud established We Do Windows, an interior design firm that she owned and operated until recent years.
"Her many friends knew her for her creative eye, sense of humor, bold spirit and witty disposition," said a son, Matthew J. Doud of Cockeysville.
Mrs. Doud, who recently moved to Kenilworth Park Apartments in Towson, liked cooking, entertaining family and friends, playing bridge, reading and travel.
Mrs. Doud was a longtime communicant of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 101 Church Lane, Cockeysville, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Thursday.
In addition to her husband and son, Mrs. Doud is survived by another son, Thomas J. Doud III of Baldwin; a daughter, Amanda Doud Blanch of Greer, S.C.; four sisters, Kathy Russell and Ann McGuire, both of Catonsville, Joan Kerr of Ellicott City and Mary Garson of Roland Park; and nine grandchildren.
