Peter R. Godbout, owner of Dad's Delivery LLC in Baltimore, died Friday of heart failure at his Caton Avenue home. He was 62.
Peter Robert Godbout was born in Washington and raised in Silver Spring. He was a 1969 graduate of Archbishop John Carroll High School in Northeast Washington, and attended the University of Maryland, College Park, before going into business.
From 1971 to 2001, when he established Dad's Delivery LLC, he had had been president of World Wide Delivery in College Park.
Dad's Delivery LLC delivered a variety of goods, including food, medical supplies and documents.
For more than two decades, Mr. Godbout coached youth sports in Howard County, including soccer and softball.
From 1985 to 1990, he served as chairman of the Cystic Fibrosis Walk in Anne Arundel County. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring.
Mr. Godbout is survived by his wife of 40 years, the former Patricia Colachicco; a son, Chad Anthony Godbout of New York City; two daughters, Brittani Leigh Godbout and Jodi Marie Naasz, both of Baltimore; five brothers, Stephen Godbout of Bethesda, Paul Godbout of Springfield, Va., James Godbout of Tucson, Ariz., Thomas Godbout of Los Angeles and Edward Godbout of North Carolina; a sister, Ann Walsh of Springfield, Va.; and a granddaughter.
