Mary F. Goodson, a retired government worker and longtime member of Fulton Baptist Church, died Sunday of pancreatic cancer at Northwest Hospital.
She was 72.
The daughter of a police officer and a homemaker, Mary Frances Stanton was born and raised in Dillwyn, Va., where she graduated from high school.
Mrs. Goodson came to Baltimore after high school and went to work in 1967 for the federal government. She held administrative positions with the Food and Drug Administration and retired in 2007 from the Department of Health and Human Services in Rockville.
The Catonsville resident was an active member and usher for more than 20 years at Fulton Baptist Church.
She enjoyed collecting china figurines, working crossword puzzles and watching game shows on TV.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Sharon Baptist Church, 1373 N. Stricker St.
Surviving are two sons, Caesar Goodson Jr. of Catonsville and Antoine L. Goodson of Randallstown; three brothers, Randolph Lee, James Jones and Matthew Jones Jr., all of Dillwyn; a sister, Diane Mabry of Dillwyn; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
