Born in Raspeburg in Baltimore County, she was the daughter of farmers Henry and Anuska Ann Langenfelder. She attended Rosedale Elementary School and began working on the family farm after graduating from the eighth grade.
In 1936, she married a distant cousin, Conrad John Langenfelder, whom she met at a church event. They operated a Rosedale truck farm and supplied vegetables to customers throughout Baltimore.
In 1960, they purchased and operated the Sunrise Trailer Park on Belair Road.
"She was a determined and hardworking woman," said her daughter-in-law, Pat Langenfelder of Kennedyville. "Sitting around and being idle was not in her nature."
Mrs. Langenfelder continued to operate the trailer park until 1988, when she retired.
She enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking. She assisted her neighbors by taking them to medical appointments and the grocery store.
After moving to Chestertown in 1997, she became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion United Church of Christ, 7200 Golden Ring Road, where she had been a member and active volunteer.
Survivors include a son, Conrad J. "Dutch" Langenfelder Jr. of Kennedyville; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Another son, William Henry Langenfelder, died in 1961. Her husband of 39 years died in 1975.
