Louisa A. Eveson, a homemaker who enjoyed painting, died Wednesday at ManorCare Ruxton from complications of dementia. She was 82.
The former Louisa Ann Bailey was born in Sharon, Harford County, and was raised in Forest Hill. She was a 1951 graduate of Bel Air High School.
She was married in 1952 to James S. Eveson, an electrician. Before starting a family in the mid-1950s, she worked as a telephone operator for the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Co. and as a dental assistant.
The longtime Perry Hall resident enjoyed painting still lifes, lighthouses and gourds in various media.
Mrs. Eveson also liked traveling, bowling, cooking and dining out with family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Lassahn Funeral Home, 11750 Belair Road, Kingsville.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Eveson is survived by a son, James Edward Eveson of Parkville; a daughter, Nancy Lee Rhinehart of Atlanta; a brother, Wilson Bailey of Forest Hill; and a grandson.
