Lisa Wehr

Lisa M. Wehr, a homemaker who enjoyed visiting beaches, died March 19 of heart failure at her East Baltimore home. She was 48.

Lisa Marie Wehr was born in Baltimore and raised in West Baltimore. She attended Milford Mill High School and worked various jobs, including as a clerk, before becoming a Woodlawn homemaker in the 1980s.

"While she never married, she spent 15 years with her teenage love and father of her children, the late Richard Paul Wehrly Jr., who died in 2011," said a daughter, Victoria Wehrly of Ocean Isle Beach, N.C. "She had a heart of gold. There was no one that she met that she didn't befriend."

In addition to enjoying the beach, where she especially enjoyed listening to the surf and taking in summer sunsets, Ms. Wehr liked "spending time with her family and friends," her daughter said.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. July 12 at 1722 Sea Gull Way, in Ocean Isle Beach.

In addition to her daughter, Ms. Wehr is survived by another daughter, Nichole Wehrly of Baltimore; a son, Richard Paul Wehrly III of Jacksonville, Fla.; her mother, Kathleen Robertson of Falling Waters, W.Va.; a brother, Charles "Lil Charles" Robertson of Woodlawn; two sisters, Gina Harrison of Baltimore and Kathleen "Tina" LeBon of Martinsburg, W.Va.; and three grandchildren.
